Experience
Build, Break, Play: Your First Video Game in Python
Two hours, zero experience, and a game you built yourself.

Teams start with a blank screen and leave with a playable mini-game. Using Python and PyGame, participants learn coding essentials, import images and sounds, and write the logic that makes characters move, collide and score. Python, named after Monty Python, was designed in 1991 to be readable by humans first.
Why it matters
- CREATIVITY: Building a game means turning a loose idea into rules, characters and outcomes. Teams practise turning a vague concept into something that works, which is the same step needed to shape a new product, service or process. - CRITICAL THINKING: Every bug is a small investigation. Participants learn to break a problem into parts, test their assumptions and fix what fails. That habit sharpens decisions and cuts guesswork at work.

- A pre-experience toolkit to get ready, get the most out of the workshop and start building the human skills behind it.
